Policies

Cancellations

We understand that life bumps around now and then which plays havoc with your schedule. To accommodate everyone’s time and energy. We require that you give us a 24-hour notice of cancellation. To meet the recommended monthly hours, we will make every attempt to reschedule the missed time. Same day cancellations will be noted and documented. Should there be 20% of sessions missed over a 30-day period, management will meet with you to discuss the options of putting services on hold or changing your schedule, not to decrease below 10% of the authorized hours.

Illness

We ask that your session be rescheduled should your child develop pink eye, body rash, sore throat, runny nose, green discharge from the nose, continuous coughing, wet cough, diarrhea, fever, or vomiting, in the last 24 hours. Before sessions resume, please be sure everyone has been symptom free for at least 24 hours without medication. We are not authorized to distribute medication without a physician’s note. The therapist will be in contact via text, email, or a phone call to verify returning to sessions.

Weather-Related Policy

Due to Colorado’s many microclimates, we will assess the safety of travel to the center. Parents will be notified if weather would inhibit safe travel by email and on the website. Should the session be cancelled due to weather, we will attempt to reschedule those hours to fulfill the recommended service hours authorized for your child.

Tardiness

We value the time needed for sessions. We ask that families be respectful of therapist’s time and notify the therapist should they be running late. If necessary, we can discuss extending the session time or extending a future session. Communication is appreciated.

Parent Training

We value the connection between families and our staff. To have the consistency between sessions and home life, it becomes an important element of ABA therapy to meet regularly with families. We require one meeting every month to review programs, discuss behavior change, identify any concerns and provide guidance for behavioral challenges at home and in the community. Days and times will be set up per staff and parent’s availability.

Concerns

Should you have any concerns regarding programming, implementation, scheduling, or general questions, please direct them to the supervising BCBA.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
